Mapping: Women’s Health Investments at HRSA
Offers a new resource
for identifying HRSA's women's health programs across the Nation. The
HRSA Geospatial Data Warehouse (HGDW) provides a single point of
access to HRSA programmatic information, related health resources, and
demographic data for reporting on HRSA activities. Recently, HRSA OWH
worked with the Office of Information Technology to develop a mapping
function specifically for HRSA's women's health investments. The HGDW
enables geographic display of this information across the US and its
Territories through the Map Tool for any specified fiscal year.
Steps to create a map
of Women's Health Investments at HRSA:
Ø
Step 1 Go to:
http://datawarehouse.hrsa.gov/help
Ø
Step 2 Select Map Tool from the menu on the left side of the screen
Ø
Step 3 The
first tab allows you to select your geographical area of interest.
Select your area of interest and continue to the second tab titled,
"Select Data Layers."
Ø
Step 4 The
"Select data layers" tab consists of 6 tabs grouping the data
available for the geographic area of interest by subject area,
including: HRSA Programs, Health Systems, Demographics and Statistics,
Administrative, Roads, and Water.
Ø
Step 5 The HRSA Programs tab contains two subtabs: HRSA Grant
Programs and Other HRSA Activities. Select Other HRSA Activities tab
and scroll down to HRSA Investments in Women's Health.
Ø
Step 6 Confirm your selection on tab 3,"Verify Selection" and click
on Make Map.
For help on making
or customizing your map, please see the HGDW Help Resources at:
